The International Festival “AniMakers” has been launched!

The first international animation festival “AniMakers” was launched in Voronezh, on May 19. The official opening ceremony took place in the park of culture and recreation “Orlenok.”

The ceremony was opened by Alexander Victorovich Gusev, the Governor of the Voronezh Oblast, who pointed out that Voronezh has all the right conditions for development of animation: the globally known studio “Voronezh” operates in the region, there is an audience and interest from those who want to work in the field of animation, which guarantees success for this festival through many years.

The festival director and general producer of the studio “Voronezh” Vladimir Nikolaev emphasized that the studio has been processing the idea of this kind of festival for quite a while and wanted to lift the curtain of the animation world for the wide audience. A feature of this festival will be creative meetings and workshops from representatives of Russian leading animation studios, who have specially come to Voronezh.

After the official opening of the festival, there was a concert program from children’s artistic groups on the stage. Within the ceremony, there were various locations working in the park, where you could take part in workshops on sand animation, optical illusions, create an animation character yourself, do quests with characters of famous animated movies.

The opening ceremony was finished by the screening of the animated movie “Finnik” in the open air, which was introduced by its director Denis Chernov.

The opening ceremony of the festival in the park “Orlenok” was attended by over 8.5 thousand guests.
